Mingyi Wang is an associate professor from School of Mechanical and Power Engineering, East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST). He received his doctorate degree of Mechanical Design & Theory in June, 2010 at South China University of Technology (SCUT). From October 2008 to October 2009, he was funded by the Chinese government to study as a co-training doctoral student at Microcellular Plastics Manufacturing Laboratory, Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, University of Toronto.
After graduation, he first worked at Zhengzhou University of Light Industry for more than four years. In March 2015, he changed his job to ECUST. He was promoted to associate professor in November 2012. Dr Wang’s main research interests concentrate on macromolecule material processing and equipment, microcellular foaming of polymer materials; plastic molding process and mold design. He is a senior member of Chinese Materials Research Society. He has conducted more than 10 research projects regarding advanced processing techniques of polymeric materials, ceramic materials and metallic materials as the principal investigator or main participant. He is also the author or co-author of more than 40 academic papers. As a main participant, he was awarded one second prize for Science & Technology Development of Henan Province, China, and two first prizes for Science & Technology Development of Educational Department of Henan Province, China.
