University:Northwestern Polytechnical University
Brief introduction of research:
I received my PhD degree from Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU, China) in 2005 and studied as a postdoctoral research fellow at XJTU from 2005 to 2007, and visited Northwestern University (Evanston, USA) and University of Oxford (Oxford, UK) as a visiting scholar. My research group mainly investigates the synthesis, structure and performance of advanced carbon materials such as carbon nanotubes (especially amorphous carbon nanotubes), graphene, carbon foam as well as pitch modification, and their applications on solar cell, lithium ion battery, electrochemical devices and military fields.
I have published more than 100 journal papers including on Nanoscale, Electrochimica Acta, Journal of Power Sources, Scientific Reports, Carbon, Applied Physical Letters, Science Bulletin, et al. and applied for 9 Chinese Invention patents (5 authorized patents). I also have obtained more than 25 Awards and Honors such as the first prize of Shaanxi Science and Technology Awards in 2013, the first and the second prize of College Science and Technology Awards of Shaanxi Province in 2013 etc., and 4 times scientific reports in《China Science Daily》newspapers for my research achievements. And I have also been elected as a director of Xi’an Nanoscience & Technology Society, and members of the American Chemical Society, Chinese Materials Research Society, Chinese Physics Society and Chinese Chemical Society.
