Dr. Ş. HakanAtapek, born in 1979, graduated from Kocaeli University, Department ofMetallurgical and Materials Engineering, Turkey. He received his MSc and PhDfrom Kocaeli University, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.He is currently working as Assistant Professor at Kocaeli University in theDepartment of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. He was also apostdoctoral researcher at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Institut fürAngewandte Materialien-Werkstoffkunde, Germany, in May 2012 – May 2013 andstudied the physical metallurgy of precipitation hardenable copper alloys. Hisinterests are in the metallic materials, physical metallurgy, powdermetallurgy, mechanical metallurgy, materials characterization and fractography.He has more than 30 articles published in International Science CitationIndexed Journals, 50 articles published in national journals and 130 articlespresented at both national and international conferences. He is also a memberof the scientific committee of International Conference of Engineering AgainstFracture (ICEAF) and International Congress of Metallurgist of Macedonia(CMUM).
