Dr Siti Aekbal is a senior lecturer at the Centre of Studies for Surveying
Science and Geomatics, Faculty of Architecture Planning and Surveying. In 2014,
she obtained her PhD from Universiti Teknologi MARA in the field of Urban
Climate and land surface process remote sensing and GIS modelling. She
completed her MSc by research in 3D GIS modelling and integration for property
management in 2007 from the same institution. She received her BSc (HONS) in
Geographical Information Science from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK
in 2004. Dr Siti Aekbal has over 10 years teaching experience with UiTM and
since then she has been an active researcher in the fields of GIS, remote
sensing for urban climate modelling and numerical simulations. Her research
interests lie in field of Geo-informatics technology particularly in
Geographical Information Science (GIS) and 3D GIS. She is also very keen in
exploring the field of remote sensing for urban climate change, especially in
the area of change assessments impacts of land surface process and its
biophysical responses towards global, regional and local climate conditions.
