Title: A comprehensive study on wireless technologies supporting and improving railway traffic control
标题:无线技术支撑与改善铁路交通控制的综合研究
Abstract: The development of rail traffic signal has been closely related to the progress of information and communication technology. Recent innovations in wireless systems such as Ultra Wideband (UWB), Cognitive and Software Defined Radio (CDR) have opened up broader prospects for future railway traffic control. More importantly, with the gradual integration of railways into urban transport networks, prospective research on railway traffic control will serve the wider public demand for safety and accurate track signals for new massive high-speed rail transit systems. As the most developed country of railway and high-speed railway in the world, China should lead other countries in the prospective research of railway traffic control. In this keynote speech, a comprehensive study on the wireless technologies supporting and improving railway traffic control is proposed. This study will be focusing on the development of novel reconfigurable and frequency agile antenna architectures, short pulse generation technology for ultra-wideband radio, and high fidelity wireless propagation models in complex railway environments.
