Research Experience:
Dr Xinggang Yan currently is Associate Professor in Control Engineering in the University of Kent, United Kingdom. He worked as a Research Fellow/Research Associate in the Northwestern Polytechnical University, the University of Hong Kong, China, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and the University of Leicester, United Kingdom. He is the member of IEEE and IET and the Fellow of HEA. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Engineering Research and Science & Technology. He was a Lead Guest Editor of a special issue in the Mathematical Problems in Engineering. He serves as member of the Editorial Board of several engineering journals, and TCP member of several international conferences. He has published three books, five invited book chapters and over 170 referred papers in the area of Control Engineering. He has successfully supervised several PhD students, and currently he is the main supervisor of three PhD students. His research subject is control theory with applications in robot system, automated highway, higher speed railway, flight control and multimachine power systems etc. Dr Xinggang Yan's achievement has provided significant impact on control engineering research.
