Prof.
Nora Fung-yee Tam, BBS, JP is currently the Chair Professor of Biology in the
Department of Chemistry and the Director of the Futian-CityU Mangrove R&D
Centre, City University of Hong Kong and Fellow of Open University
of Hong Kong. Prof. Tam has more than
30 years of research experience on the ecology and conservation of
mangrove wetlands, bioremediation and pollution control. She has an extensive
publication record, with over 330 original research articles in SCI
journals, 21 book chapters, and has written/edited 10 books, trained more than
30 PhD graduates. According to Shanghai Ranking’s Global Ranking of Academic
Subjects in 2016 by Elsevier, she is one of the most cited researchers in the
area of environmental science and engineering. Prof. Tam has also developed close connections with government, private
sectors (environmental consultant companies) and green groups.
