Research Experience:
Dr Abdul Rahim graduated with B.Sc in Computer Science from University of Queensland in Australia in 1984, M.Sc in IT Communication from Loughborough University, UK in 1994 and PhD in Applied Informatics and Engineering from a joint program between UTM, Malaysia and University of Nantes, France in 2008.
His main research areas are in artificial intelligence, machine learning, pattern recognition, and fraud prediction. His other areas of research are in networks, grid computing, exploratory search and semantic technology. He has been reviewers for many international conferences and journals. He have been active with IEEE Malaysia as executive committee member and IEEE Computer Society Malaysia, also as executive committee member and at a time the Chair. He has also held the task of the secretariat of Malaysian National Grid Computing Initiative (NGCI) until present.
