Prof.
Guo held a Ph.D. from Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1999 and was a Post
Doctorate Fellow of Business Management Tourist Marketing of Fudan University
from 1999 to 2001 while she has been Tourism Department of Fudan University
since then. She had been a Fulbright Senior Research Fellow supported by USA
State Department. Prof. Guo had been a visiting scholar at Harvard University, Boston University, Oklahoma State
University, Temple University, San Francisco State University, University of
Florida, University of Central Florida, University of South Coralina, Sejong
University, Dresden University of Technology, Stralsund University of Applied
Sciences. She had been a leader or member in many research project teams such
as Key Projects and Ordinary Projects of China National Nature Science Fund,
China National Social Science Fund, Shanghai Science & Technology Committee
Administration, Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies, DAAD, USA State
Department, China National Tourism Bureau Administration, Shanghai Tourism
Bureau Administration and many provincial or country governments. Prof. Guo actively participates
in many domestic and international seminars and conferences on tourism. She had published more than 100 papers
including English journals such as “Tourism Management”(SSCI), “Journal of
Travel Research”(SSCI), “International Journal of Leisure and Tourism
Management” (SSCI), “Tourism Economics” (SSCI),
“Asia Pacific Journal of Tourism Research”, “Journal of Tourism and Leisure Research”, “Journal
of Hospitality and Tourism Management”, “Journal of Landscape Research”, “Journal of China Tourism Research”, Chinese journals
such as “Management World”, “Tourism Tribune”, “Tourism Science”, “Economic
Geography”, “Human Geography”. She had published works such as “Market Positioning and Impact Factors
of China Outbound Travelers”, “Front Theories and Practices of MICE Tourism
Market”, “Theories and Practices of Tourism Market Studies”, “Demand and
Development of China Tourism Market”, translated foreign works such as “Management
of Tourism Attractions: New Director”, edited textbooks such as “Tourism
Marketing” (3rd Editions) supported by of University-level of the “Eleventh
Five ” Project of China National Educational Department , “Introduction of MICE”
supported by MICE Mater Series Textbook of Certificate Exams “MICE Designing
and Practice” by Shortage Project of Shanghai Talent Training. Prof. Guo had
taught bachelors’ full English courses such as elected one “Tourism Market
Studies” certificated as brand course by China National Educational Department,
Shanghai Educational Committee, and Fudan University. Some others such as
bachelor student’s compulsory “Tourism Marketing”, master’s “Tourism Survey and
Analysis”, Ph.D. “Front Theories of Tourism Management”, “Tourism Industry
Analysis” and “Professional English”.
