Dr. Sung received the M.A. degree and PhD degree in Architecture from the College of Architecture and Urban Studies, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Virginia, U.S.A., in 2000 and 2006. He is now an Assistant Professor of the Department of Architecture, the National Cheng Kung University.
Dr. Sung currently severs as Publications Committee on Architecture Institute of Taiwan, Editorial Consultant of Taiwan Architecture Magazine, and also as planning and design review committee of several city governments.
Dr. Sung are very interested in architecture education especially on the relationship between design thinking and the development of new technology. Consequently, his research perspective is widely covered with many issues about the future development of architecture and urban, and he always cooperates with professors from other professions, for example, virtual interaction, occupational therapy, community empowerment, and so on.
