Research Experience:

Prof. Dr. B. Ramesh, born at Erode on 11^th May 1979, obtained his B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering in the year 2001 from Shri Angalamman College of Engineering and Technology, Trichy, M.E. degree in Computer Aided Design in the year 2005 from Alagappa Chettiar College of Engineering and Technology, Karaikudi and Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering in the year 2017 from Anna University, Chennai. He has 1 year of industrial experience, 14 years of teaching experience and 10 years of research experience so far. He is presently working as Professor in the Mechanical Engineering department of St. Joseph’s Institute of Technology, Chennai. His areas of specialization includes machining, process optimization, composite materials, vibrational analysis, surface engineering and tribology. He has published 23 research papers in International Journals (SCI / SCIE – 8; Scopus Indexed – 6), 5 research papers in International Conference proceedings and 1 research paper in National Conference proceeding. Also, he has authored 1 book. He is an Expert Member in assessing grant proposals for “The National Center of Scientific and Technical Evaluation (NCSTE)”, Kazakhstan. He is an Expert Panel member in International Academic and Research Center, Reviewer board member in International Journal of Engineering Research and Sports Science (IJERSS), and Editorial board member in International Journal of Advance Research in Science and Engineering (IJARSE), Conference World & AR Research publications, Innovative Scientific Research Professional Malaysia (ISRPM) and Region & Probe-Research Journal of Mechanical Engineering. Also he is a reviewer for renowned International Journals like Archives of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, Composites Part B, Advances in Mechanical Engineering, Journal of Engineering Manufacture, Benchmarking, Polymer Composites, Journal of Thermoplastic Composite Materials and Journal of Mechanical Science and Technology. He has given many invited talks and certified as ISO 9001:2000, Internal Quality Management Systems (QMS) Auditor by DNV. He has filed one patent. Also, he is a recognized supervisor of Anna University, Chennai for guiding Ph.D./M.S.(By Research) scholars. His works have been cited in more than 85 research articles with i10-index 2 and h-index 6. He is a recepient of the following awards: “Innovative Technological Research and Dedicated Teaching Professional Award”, “Distinguished Researcher Award 2018” and “Best Academic Familiar Male Faculty of the year 2019”. He was a Lead Guest Editor (Associate Editor) for a Special Collection on “Intelligence in Data Acquisition and Control Systems” in “Measurement and Control” journal (ISSN: 0020-2940, SCIE Journal) in the year 2018. Also, he was a Lead Guest Editor (Section Editor) for a Special Issue on “Current Trends in Engineering Science and Technology” in “International Journal of Engineering and Technology(UAE)” journal (ISSN: 2227-524X, SCOPUS Indexed journal) in the year 2018. Currently, he is a Lead Guest Editor (Associate Editor) for a Special Issue on “Data Computation in Advanced Composites: Characterization, Machining, and Waste Management” in “Computer Modeling in Engineering and Sciences” journal (ISSN: 1526-1492, IF: 0.75, SCI journal). He has 93 national and international followers in Research Gate. He has uploaded 29 documents in Scribd, 4shared.com and slideshare.net, which fetched 416 followers and 1,10,000 views from countries like India, Pakistan, United States and Ethiopia.
